'Know that when you follow a human being you put yourself at risk of plunging into mistakes; of No weight is the reasoning of a Man in the face of His Rabb's Revelation.

This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. 5.3
Guidance only comes from the Loving, so Ask him for guidance Oh Son of Adam, before you regret! Before you understand it was what you needed Most!
All are misguided except whom He the Most Kind Guides.
Therefore Ask humbly so that He may Give.
Thank the One who has given you ALL that you have and Ask him for Guidance. Plead Him for Guidance my brother in Humanity! All you need is guidance from the All-Encompassing!
"What would Allah gain by your punishment if you are Thankful (to Him) and you Believe in Him? And Allah is Ever All-Appreciative (of good), All-Knowing." 4.147
"Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;

"As far as music is concerned, it is also an addiction. The proof that it is in an addiction is that those who listen to it are not willing to give it up and replace it with Quran which they know is more beneficial to them (for every letter of Quran you hear in the mode of pleasing Allah (Swt), you get 10 good rewards!, not for every word, for every letter!). The solution? Gradually replace the music you listen to with Quran; try to listen to more and more Quran each day and be consistent. Stop listening to music in the car, instead only listen to Quran in the car! And when at home begin reading the Quran daily and pondering over its verses. With the help of Allah (swt) gradually you will depend less and less upon music and you will become addiction free. "

If Yes, then Alhamdulillah, the next question is: Where does one find Quran to listen to?
Well it depends, if you want to watch online, or while you are using the computer, there is plenty on youtube.

here are easy instructions to download plenty of beautiful Quran Recitations onto your computer
Click on a reciter you like, Some of my reccomendations are Ahmad bin Ali Al-Ajmy, Mishary Rashed Alafasy, Tawfeeq As-Saaigh, Abdul Baset Abdul-Samad, Fahd al-Kundury, Muhammad Jibreel, Saud Al-Shuraim - Abdul Rahman Alsudais (the two famous Imams of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah)
And there are plenty of other reciters for if you ever come across one somewhere else that you want to download recitation by. (to find these names quickly at a website, just press ctrl+f and then type in the name of the reciter, sometimes you have to play around with the spelling a little bit to find the guy your looking for)
after clicking their name, Find the surah you want to download and right click the second mp3 button on the right and then click "save target as"( or in google chrome "save link as") and choose a folder, and give a name. The audio will then download to your computer inshaAllah.
To download a the whole Quran at once from a reciter, then you need a program that can query downloads, such as free download manager.

How I made my facebook almost completely fitna-free:
a)changed my name so that random people could not friend me that I did not want to be friends with
b)deleted all the people I didnt talk to,
c) deleted all the girls, including sisters, except for a few exceptions, here and there, (no more than 5 alltogether)
e) removed all pictures of myself from fb
f) later on I removed all sisters except for relatives
Except for the ads on the side, alhamdulillah, I can say that I have a peace of mind with my facebook!
disclaimer: This is what worked for me. I used to delete my facebook and then reactivate it, but these changes made things much easier. Albeit, facebook can still become a waste of time. It is good when used for Da'wah purpose, and for learning Ahadith posted by beneficial groups and Brothers

And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allah is Most Merciful to you. And whoever commits that through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into the Fire, and that is easy for Allah. 4.29-30

Killing any believers or killing yourself is a serious matter, and doing so results in Hellfire. Everyone must be careful, and stay away from extremism as the Companions of the Prophet (saw) fought against extremism (the Khawarij) and warned against it. These verses above are clear; Have no doubt about the Quran.
That is the Book there is no Doubt in it. A guidance for the God-Fearing.2.2
Remember that Uthmaan (Rda) was killed by muslims, who thought that they were doing the right thing.
Remember that Ali (Rda) was killed by a religious extremist.
Remember that Husayn (Rda) the grandson of the Messenger (saw) was killed by Muslims*
Know that the Khawarij are going to be around until 'Isa (Jesus Christ) Alayhisalaam comes back, and know that the Prophet (Saw) AND the Companions warned us strongly about them (about the Khawarij).
Protect yourself from the deviations that Shaytaan makes for Muslims.

*=it was narrated that Zayd ibn Arqam said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stood and addressed us at a watering place called Khumm, between Makkah and Madeenah. He praised and glorified Allaah, and he exhorted and reminded us, then he said: “O people, I am only human, and soon the messenger of my Lord will come to me and I will respond. I am leaving among you two weighty things, the first of which is the Book of Allaah in which is guidance and light. Follow the Book of Allaah and hold fast to it.” And he encouraged us to adhere to the Book of Allaah, then he said: “And the people of my household, I remind you of Allaah with regard to the people of my household, I remind you of Allaah with regard to the people of my household, I remind you of Allaah with regard to the people of my household.”
