Let us Put our Trust in Allah

Things aren’t always as they seem.. Mother of Musa (peace be upon him), Umm Musa, was told to throw her son in the river, Yusuf (peace be upon him) was left for dead in a well, Maryam (May Allah be pleased with her) delivered a child alone, Ayesha (May Allah be pleased with her) was accused of a terrible sin, Yunus (pe...ace be upon him) was swallowed by a whale, Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was thrown in the fire, Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) lost the love of his life Khadija (May Allah be pleased with her), and Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) thought no one could be better than Abu Salamah. Yet look at how it turned out for them in the end.. So don’t worry, Allah has a plan for you.

Those unto whom the people said, "Verily, the people  have gathered against you (a great army), therefore, fear them." But it (only) increased them in Faith, and they said: "Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the Best disposer of affairs. 3.173

Safety ~ Two Methods

Two things absolutely essential concepts to hold on to with your HEART:

1st thing)Tawheed.
Verily! Allah forgives not setting up partners with Him, but He forgives whom He wills sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, has indeed strayed far away. 3.116

Shirk = unforgivable if one dies doing it.
All other things, Perhaps Allah (Swt) out of his Mercy will forgive us.

2nd thing) Following the Prophet (Saw) in all matters.
Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to mankind): "If you (really) love Allah then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." 3.31

It was narrated on the authority of Abu Najih al-Irbad bin Sariyah, radiyallahu 'anhu, who said: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam, delivered an admonition that made our hearts fearful and our eyes tearful. We said, "O Messenger of Allah, it is as if this were a farewell sermon, so advise us." He said, "I enjoin you to have Taqwa of Allah and that you listen and obey, even if a slave is made a ruler over you. He among you who lives long enough will see many differences. So for you is to observe my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly-principled and rightly-guided successors, holding on to them with your molar teeth. Beware of newly-introduced matters, for every innovation (bid'ah) is an error." [Abu Dawud & Al-Tirmidhi, who says it is an authentic hadith]

May Allah (Swt) send His Peace and Blessings upon the Seal of the Prophets and the Beloved (Saw). Ameen

How to Improve Memory

1) Keeping away from sin, because the bad effects of sin result in a bad memory and the inability to retain knowledge. The darkness of sin cannot co-exist with the light of knowledge. The following words were attributed to al-Shaafa'i, may Allaah have mercy on him:
“I complained to [my shaykh] Wakee’ about my bad memory, and he taught me that I should keep away from sin.
He said that knowledge of Allaah is light, and the light of Allaah is not given to the sinner.”

Al-Khateeb reported in al-Jaami’ (2/387) that Yahya ibn Yahya said: “A man asked Maalik ibn Anas, ‘O Abu ‘Abd-Allaah! Is there anything that will improve my memory?’ He said, ‘If anything will improve it, it is giving up sin.’”

Ibraaheem ibn [sth. omitted] said, “You should chew resin gum, because it gives energy to the heart and gets rid of forgetfulness.” (From al-Jaami’ by al-Khateeb, 2/397)

Imaam al-Zuhri said: “You should eat honey because it is good for the memory.”
He also said: “Whoever wants to memorize hadeeth should eat raisins.” (From al-Jaami’ by al-Khateeb, 2/394).

May Allah (Swt) Improve all of our memory. Ameen.

Dunya's Truth

Al-Hasan said: "Verily you have insufficient time, your actions are
sealed, death is looking over you and the Fire is in front of you. And
by Allah whatever you see (i.e. the world) is going. So expect the
decision of Allah every day and night, and let one look to what he has put forward for himself."

He also said:

"O son of Adam! You are nothing but days, whenever a day goes past,
a part of you (also) goes."

Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. And the life of this world is not but the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing). 3.185
