Mike, I just wanted to share some things with you, please read this through till the end, when you are in a proper state of mind.
We are all gonna die without a doubt, and we don't know when, Islam is an easy religion, it teaches us how to be happiest in this life and the perk is that you no longer fear your fate of death, and you are promised an even better life afterwards. How could you ever be at peace until you fulfill the rights of your Creator who has Provided and cared for you?
I am just reminding you, because I hope that you don't get distracted. Death comes unexpected.
There should be nothing holding you back from improving yourself and if you improve yourself, it could be that you will end up improving others, including those whom are dear to you.
I promise you that your life here could never be best without Islam, and after your death you will be in complete bliss with Islam.
Wine that gives no headaches, gardens underneath which rivers flow, your spouse will be beautiful and will be purified of things like going to the bathroom, etc.
Food, rivers of honey
The description of Paradise which the pious have been promised (is that) in it are rivers of water the taste and smell of which are not changed, rivers of milk of which the taste never changes, rivers of wine delicious to those who drink, and rivers of clarified honey (clear and pure) therein for them is every kind of fruit, and forgiveness from their Lord. (Are these) like those who shall dwell for ever in the Fire and be given to drink boiling water so that it cuts up their bowels?
47.15
I invite you to the way of peace and happiness, the way of truth (really if you search for however long, you will come to the conclusion that Islam is the truest way of life)
O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allah), Who created you and those who were before you so that you may become Pious,
2.21
And to 'Ad (people We sent) their brother Hud. He said, "O my people! Worship Allah! You have no other ilah (god) but Him. Certainly, you do nothing but invent lies!
"O my people I ask of you no reward for it (the Message). My reward is only from Him Who created me. Will you not then understand?
"And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him, He will send you (from the sky) abundant rain, and add strength to your strength, so do not turn away as criminals."
11.50-52
Please remind yourself and understand that everything in this life is passing. Athletes get injuries, Music gets old, Girlfriends die, you die, and then you meet your Creator.
The one thing that is infinite and can fulfill your soul with bliss everlasting, that will never end is the guidance from above.
I invite you Mike, I invite you with full sincerity, I wish you knew how good it feels to be a Muslim, how fulfilling it is, I invite you to this way of life that is the only remaining way that is surely from God alone.
You think God would leave us to suffer and fail, and not understand the solutions to all of our problems and the problems in the world?

There is absolutely no doubt that Islam is the only way to Paradise. Islam is the way of truth, and reason, with clear signs and evidences. It is superior to all other ways of life which have deviated, and it is the only religion that is still true to the way of the Prophets, Peace be upon all of them. The Quran, the Speech of Allah is completely unchanged from when it was revealed to the final Messenger of God, Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon Him).
Please Mike, I am telling you to help yourself. If you have any questions, or you are facing any moral dillemas, or are still unsure about anything, let me know. If you want me to talk to any of those close to you about Islam let me know.
In Islam we are allowed to marry to Christians and Jews, (and of course Muslims) and like I said, marriage (in its technicality) is very easy.
Don't let the devil discourage you and give you excuses. If you have any reason for not entering Islam let me know, and we'll talk about it.
There are only two things that can be holding you back from becoming Muslim
1) Doubts, if you are having any then tell me and we will shine a clear light of knowledge with evidences and remove any of that cause by confusion and misunderstandings
2) Desires - you have to realize that your going to die, and that the pleasures of this life are passing. Not only that, but Islam allows for pleasure. In fact in Islam, having relations with your wife is considered earning a good deed ( ---really? ---) . Islam allows for pleasure and other things, all it requires is that you do it in the proper way.
for example, being with a girl. Islam requires that the man marries the woman first; this ensures that the woman will be properly taken care of, honored, and respected, and loved as a human being and she won't be treated like an animal or a car, taken for a ride and then left. There is so much wisdom in these rules.
Also, if a pregnancy arises, the husband will be ready to accept responsibility and the child will be brought up healthily, without a broken family.
Good changes can happen slowly, but the first step is embracing the religion of God, the Perfect and Complete way of life that even tells us the best way to do everything, from how to go to the bathroom and how to greet people.
Somebody once asked a scholar: "My father is African American and my mother is white and i have done a lot of research on this religion i am 16 and i really want to become a muslim i wanted to know if i could be one?"
The Scholar Replied:
"Praise be to Allaah.
Among the beauties of Islam is the fact that in this religion there are no intermediaries in the relationship between a person and his Lord. Entering this religion does not involve any special ceremonies or procedures that need to be done in front of any other person, nor does it require the consent of any specific people. Becoming Muslim is very easy and anyone can do it even if he is all alone in the desert or in a locked room. All it takes is to say two beautiful sentences which sum up the meaning of Islam and which include the statement that: a person is the slave of his Lord and that he submits himself to Him and recognizes that He is his God and Helper and Protector Who decrees for him whatever He wills; and that Muhammad is the slave and Messenger of Allaah whom he must follow with regard to what was revealed to him from Allaah, for obeying the Messenger is part of obeying Allaah. Whoever utters these twin statements of faith, with conviction and believing in them, becomes a Muslim, sharing all the rights and duties that other Muslims have. After that he can start straight away to do the things that Allaah has made obligatory, such as the five daily prayers at the right times, fasting during the month of Ramadaan, and so on. From this it should be clear to you that you can become a Muslim straight away, so get up, have a shower and say: “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasooluhu (I bear witness that there is no god except Allaah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger).” For more information, see ( http://islamqa.com/en/cat/12 ).
